“Our Band Could Be Your Life” is the real Bible for real indie-rock. You know, the REAL DIY thing back to the ’80s: Sonic Youth, Black Flag, Fugazi…self made tours and home printed merch, in the name of radical anti-biz attitude. I wonder if these boys from Bristol have read it. Probably yes. If you picture them stagediving with worn t-shirts glued to their torso by sweating you got the point. And they run a label and promote DIY gigs. Of course. It might be stereotyped, but it’s also damn good, and liberating. Out now on Sonic Cathedral.
